Jeff Jolliffe: 18U Head Coach

Coaching Career:

Prior to starting YBC Coach Jolliffe spent several years coaching at KC 3&2 and Showcase baseball at the youth and HS ages.  He is entering his 7th season as the Head Coach of our 18U team and is the head of the organization.

Beau Franklin: 18U Head Coach

Coaching Career:

Coach Franklin began as a grad assistant at Wentworth CC when his playing days were finished.  He spent 2 years as an assistant coach there and is entering his first year as the Head Coach of that institution.  Beau is also entering his 3rd year as a Head Coach in our organization.

Donnie McGowan: 18U Pitching Coach

Donnie McGowan, Pitching Coach

Coaching Career:

Coach McGowan has many years of experience coaching at the youth and high school levels.  He is entering his 3rd year as an assistant with us.

Playing Career:

Played at William Chrisman HS

Started collegiate career as a dual sport athlete (Baseball and Basketball) at Missouri Valley College. 

Transferred to CMSU in 1983 played two years of Varsity baseball. While at CMSU (UCM) Coach McGowan was named all MIAA first team pitcher and MIAA pitcher of the year in 1985. 

He was drafted in the 4th round by the Boston Red Sox,  121st  overall pick. Donnie played 5 years of Minor League baseball.
 

Jon Doughty: 18U Assistant Coach

Coaching Career:

Coach Doughty is an extremely experienced coach who has spent his entire life in the game.  He has over 20 years of youth coaching experience at all levels.  Prior to YBC Jon spent several years in the Raytown American Legion organization as a head coach and an assistant at the 18U level.  He is entering his 6th season as the assistant coach on our 18U team.

4 years at Oral Roberts University

Coached pitching for 1.5 years at YBC

Also a Certified Athletic Trainer with a corrective exercise certification

Experience as an NFL Athletic Training Intern

Playing Career:

Played for Newton High School in Newton, Kansas

Played for three years as a collegiate pitcher, two years at Hesston College and one year at MidAmerica Nazarene University

Jimmy Barragan: 16U Assistant Coach

 

Coaching Career:

Jimmy is the current Head Coach at Raytown South HS.  He has been coaching in the HS ranks for 20 years.  He is entering his 4th season with YBC.

 

Playing Career:

Oklahoma State University

While at Oklahoma State Coach Barragan was a 2-time All American. In 1986 he was named mid west regional MVP. In 1987 he was named to the All Tournament team at the College World Series.  In 1999 Jimmy was inducted into the OSU Baseball Hall of Fame.

Drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1987 in the 19th round.  Played 4 years of minor league baseball.

STEFON GRIDDINE: 15U HEAD COACH

Coaching History:

1 year at Harris-Stowe State University

Grandview High School 2 years

Raytown High School 1 year.

Playing History:

Played 4 years of Baseball at Grandview High School

Scholarship to K-State as a Catcher. Scholarship to Hesston College (transferred out of KSU) as a C/1B.

Finished playing career at SLU/Harris-Stowe University as a Scholarship Catcher Own 15 hitting records at Grandview and 3 hitting records at Hesston. 1x

All-State Catcher in Missouri 1x 2nd team All-American Catcher at Hesston NJCAA
